311, Sweet Miss rock Unity '07
Back in August of 2007 Sweet Miss had the distinct honor of hand-delivering two custom-made cookie bouquets to the band 311 backstage at Riverbend Music Center.

After contacting the band's management, arrangements were made for Sweet Miss to deliver the gift boxes to the band before the show. After being escorted to the backstage VIP area by the band's tour manager Evan, Melissa and her husband Brian were standing face-to-face with their favorite band, 311. They were warmly greeted by the band, comprised of frontman Nick Hexum, guitarist Tim Mahoney, bassist P-Nut, vocalist S.A. Martinez and drummer Chad Sexton. When presented with their gift boxes, they immediately began commenting on how great the presentation was, how delicious the cookies looked and admiring how the graphics of the pieces accurately represented them. Afterward, the band was gracious enough to sign a few autographs and snap a few photos. She even created a special Cookie-Pop in honor of the band.

Needless to say, Melissa and Brian thoroughly enjoyed the concert. From the pit, it was one of the best shows, and the best evenings, in recent memory. And, after the show was over, the tour manager spotted Melissa in the crowd and presented her with the band's stage set-list in appreciation of her efforts.

Much love and appreciation to 311 for their positive music and for constantly spreading the message of unity. Special thanks to Joan and band management for graciously making this wonderful time possible.
